Sunekos
What is Sunekos?
Sunekos is an advanced injectable treatment combining low- or high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) with a patented blend of six essential amino acids (HY6AA complex: glycine, L-proline, L-lysine, L-valine, L-alanine, L-leucine). It regenerates the extracellular matrix (ECM) in the dermis, stimulating your skin's natural production of collagen, elastin, and other structural proteins for improved elasticity, hydration, and firmness. Unlike traditional fillers that add artificial volume, Sunekos promotes physiological "dermal biogenesis" for natural rejuvenation.
- Sunekos 200: Lower MW HA—ideal for fine lines, hydration, and delicate areas.
- Sunekos 1200: Higher MW HA—used as a "scaffold" for deeper support and volume restoration in advanced cases. Often combined: Sunekos 1200 first for structure, followed by Sunekos 200 for refinement.
Benefits
- Improves skin elasticity, firmness, and tone for a lifted, youthful appearance.
- Reduces fine lines, deep wrinkles, crepey skin, and sagging.
- Enhances hydration, radiance, and texture; effective for under-eyes (dark circles, bags, fine lines), acne scars, or sun damage.
- Provides natural-looking results without over-volumizing.
- Offers long-term skin health and regeneration (results build progressively and last 6–12+ months with maintenance).
- Versatile for face, neck, décolleté, and hands.
What to Expect
- Consultation to assess skin concerns and choose protocol (e.g., Sunekos 200 alone or combo with 1200).
- Procedure: Multiple small injections (micro-boluses, linear, or cannula technique); 15–40 minutes. Numbing cream often applied for comfort.
- Protocol:
- Sunekos 200: Typically 3–4 sessions, 7–10 days apart.
- Sunekos 1200 combo: 1 session of 1200 + 3–4 of 200 (spaced 7–10 days).
- Maintenance: Every 4–6 months.
- Immediate subtle hydration; full results develop over 4–8 weeks as regeneration occurs.
- Minimal downtime—small bumps/swelling at sites (especially under-eyes) usually resolve in 24–48 hours.
Potential Side Effects & Risks
Common (temporary, resolve in 1–7 days): Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, small lumps/bumps (boluses), bruising, pinpoint bleeding, itching, or slight discomfort at injection sites. Rare: Prolonged swelling, asymmetry, infection, or allergic reaction (uncommon due to biocompatible ingredients). Serious complications very rare with proper technique and hygiene.
Aftercare
- For 24–48 hours: Avoid makeup, strenuous exercise, alcohol, saunas/hot showers, direct sun exposure, touching/rubbing/massaging treated areas, and extreme temperatures.
- No lying flat or pressure on face for 4–6 hours post-treatment.
- Use cool compresses/ice packs for swelling or discomfort (wrapped, not directly on skin).
- Keep area clean; apply gentle moisturizer and broad-spectrum SPF 30+ (mineral preferred) daily.
- Avoid harsh actives (e.g., retinol, acids) for 48 hours or as advised.
- Stay hydrated; resume normal activities quickly, but no swimming for 48 hours.
Important Notes
- Ideal for mild-moderate aging, texture concerns, or delicate areas (Sunekos 200); deeper laxity/volume needs combo with 1200.
- Differs from dermal fillers (no artificial plumping) or Profhilo (more amino acid-focused ECM regeneration). Great complement to LED light, polynucleotides, Verdilab facials, or Profhilo.
- Not suitable if pregnant/breastfeeding, active infections, certain allergies, or hypersensitivity—full medical history required.
- Clinically supported for collagen/elastin stimulation and skin quality improvement.
